Sixteen of the total hours will involve the student interacting physically with real patients in a hospital care setting. Ohio CNA training will  show you how to help a disabled resident with their daily cleaning and feeding requirements, as well as how to perform tasks like patient monitoring, emergency prep and record keeping as delegated by your supervising nurse within the facility.

Other skills that you will learn include medical terminology, how to handle emergency situations such as a stroke, heart attack, or falls. Certain aspects of how to help patients cope with their loss of mobility or impending death are also addresses within training. Your CNA certification exam will ask you questions on many of these topics, so it is wise to get as much from your training as possible. Skipping even a single class may cause you to not qualify for testing or cause you to not earn a passing grade.
